Local FlightTo get to BW Camino a Tamarindo from San Jose it is possible to take a 50 minute flight to Tamarindo, where the airport is located. A shuttle from the hotel will pick you up there (upon request) and in less than ten minutes you will be at the hotel. You can also rent a car in San José; our activity center can help you with this, and make the 100 mile drive through different communities and beautiful forests. A daily flight round trip San José-Tamarindo, just... fly by SANSA If you happen to arrive at Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia or Juan Santamaria in San Jose, our reservation center can arrange taxi service or car rental and make a reservation for you, so that you can enjoy the ride from Liberia. We can help you choose transportation according to your needs. DrivingLeaving San José, take the Pan-American Highway west to Puntarenas. Near Puntarenas the road veers north - follow the signs to Liberia-, and take the turn off for the La Amistad Bridge. Once you have crossed over the Gulf of Nicoya, head to the town of Santa Cruz. From Santa Cruz, head west towards Tamarindo, and after about 25 minutes on this road, take the turn off onto a non paved road and, following the signs, you will reach Villa Real. Do not turn left. Head towards Huacas for another five minutes, If you are coming from Liberia, just take the south road, look for Belen, and follow the signs. You will see our informative signs at different points along the road to Tamarind Beach. At the intersection in Huacas, go two miles on the main road towards Tamarindo. Car RentalThere are many car rental companies in Costa Rica, but we recommend Adobe. Private TransferWe can arrange a private transfer with a very reliable driver from San José to Tamarindo or Liberia to Tamarindo. Regular BusA direct bus departs daily from San José to Tamarindo. It leaves at 3:00 p.m., from the Alfaro bus terminal, 14th street, 5th avenue (la Coca Cola). The trip takes 5 hours to reach Tamarindo. Be advised buses are not equipped with a/c.
